After decades Cessna hasn’t managed to engineer away the wing struts. Wing struts on ANY plane adds weight, kills aerodynamics makes it look like a 1950s design.

Actually, this aircraft doesn't meet the FADEC requirement: need backup batteries for both of ECUs. Only 1 connected with ECU B. And one other thing that I don't like is Austro don't retrofit their engines anymore. So it's hard to find someone who can do the 1000hr overhaul for legal requirement.

Probably one of the safest planes for an engine out. Ya got 2 already and the thing's practically already a glider. It can literally fly with one engine. As far as "overpriced" goes, you can't expect a good deal on a nearly full carbon fiber twin engine plane with a g2k. This thing barely makes diamond profit believe it or not. Not sure why you're hating on such a reputable manufacturer as if you're some insider whistle blower
@@sumcarson piston twins have high moment of inertia so are at risk of unstoppable spins. afaik piston twins are typically so frail that one of the engines is considered the critical engine due to p factor such that it has trouble staying aloft because the rudder doesn't have enough authority to counter it. completely undermining the value of having two engines. only jets should exist. Diamond should have developed small turbofan engines instead of awful diesels.
Diamond aircraft are great airplanes. Their twins are amazing, super efficient, beautiful aircraft, great construction. Yet they are expensive, insurance costs are very high, engine out controls are very heavy until you feather the dead engine, and they don’t fit in a standard t-hangar too long of a wingspan because they are great gliders. Yet, they are slower than what you’d expect and can’t carry too much of a load. At their price range buyers have other options that make more sense. Despite all that they are amazing aircraft.
